Completing the CETL process gave me a chance to affirm where I was strong, and gave me a chance to grow in areas that I use less often. I would recommend completing the CETL process to anyone who wants to grow in their professional role as a Educational Technology Leader.

Robert Smiley

CIO, School District of Janesville

Completing the CETL certification has not only increase my knowledge in the core framework of CoSN, but also offered me network opportunities across the state and country. I have been able to participate in speaking at other CETL cohorts through WETL to help new leaders become certified. I was also elected to the national CoSN Board in March of 2023!

CTO, School District of Altoona

Exam Preparation

WETL has developed a local study group to prepare WI Educational Technology Leaders for the CETL exam. This program will be offered twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall to prepare for exams. This study group is a collaborative partnership with WETL, DPI, and business partners. If you successfully complete the prep course and the exam, your test completion expense will be reimbursed through this partnership. This study group will be facilitated by a current CETL and will feature many other CETL recipients to prepare you to become a Certified Educational Technology Leader.
